Things people ask before they sell
Is this an instant online valuation?
No — and that's deliberate. Automated valuations don't look at your actual car. Carlo reads your enquiry, checks the details and photos, and sends you a real offer based on the car in front of him.
What does the registration lookup show?
The DVLA's free vehicle enquiry service gives us the make, year of manufacture, fuel type, engine size, colour, tax status and MOT status. It doesn't return the exact model, so we ask you to confirm that yourself.
What if your car's details don't come up?
Sometimes the lookup is unavailable or a plate isn't recognised. You can still send an enquiry — just fill in the make and year by hand and Carlo will take it from there.
What happens after I get an offer?
If you're happy with the offer, we arrange an appointment. Carlo appraises the car, confirms the price, sorts the paperwork with you and pays by bank transfer — everything can be concluded the same day. Appointments usually take around 30 minutes, and valuations are valid for 5 days.
What do I need to bring?
The V5C logbook, all the keys, any service history and paperwork, the MOT certificate if you have it, and an in-date settlement letter from the finance company if there's finance outstanding on the car.
How and when do I get paid?
By electronic bank transfer, sent on the same working day as the sale. There are no admin or transaction fees and no charge for same-day payment.
Do you buy cars with no MOT, high mileage or damage?
Yes — we're happy to make an offer on cars and vans with no current MOT, non-runners and cars that have seen better days. Tell us honestly what's wrong in the condition notes and send photos. Collection can be arranged if the car can't be driven.
